Una donna riceve inaspettatamente la visita del figlio in un pomeriggio piovoso. Cerca di accoglierlo come può, nonostante sia occupata a scavare dentro vecchi scatoloni per trovare un articolo di giornale su cui c’è scritta una frase di cui ha dimenticato il finale. E mentre lui l’aiuta, i due si ritrovano a raccontarsi con leggerezza le loro debolezza e le loro paura. Vecchi album di fotografie e romanzi dimenticati diventano pretesti per riflessioni sul loro presente. Eppure c’è una presenza inquietante: piccoli insetti che sbucano da chissà dove. Qualcuno suona al citofono, qualcuno reclama la loro presenza. Sempre più sospesi fra sogno e realtà, azione e pensiero, madre e figlio sprofondano senza accorgersene nel loro inconscio, in realtà immaginarie, importanti tanto quanto il mondo reale, se non forse più ingombranti. Finché la donna non riesce a ritrovare quelle parole che aveva perduto, restituendo a entrambi e al pubblico ciò che di intimo ci è rimasto.

Diego Pleuteri nasce nel 1998, cresce a Milano e tutt’ora vive a Torino. Sceglie il teatro da giovanissimo e incontra maestri tra i più interessanti del panorama, fra cui Daria Deflorian, Martin Crimp e Rafael Spregelburd. Dal 2019 al 2021 frequenta il corso Autore Teatrale della Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi. A maggio 2020, il suo testo Madri riceve la menzione al Premio InediTO – Colline di Torino. Attualmente studia come attore alla Scuola per Attori del Teatro Stabile di Torino, diretta da Valerio Binasco.

A woman receives an unexpected visit from her son on a rainy afternoon. She tries to welcome him as best she can, even though she is busy digging through old boxes to find a newspaper article with a sentence on it, the ending of which she has forgotten. And while he helps her, the two find themselves lightly telling each other about their weaknesses and fears. Old photo albums and forgotten novels become pretexts for reflections on their present. And yet there is a disturbing presence: small insects emerging from who knows where. Someone rings the intercom, someone claims their presence. Ever more suspended between dream and reality, action and thought, mother and son sink without realising it into their unconscious, into imaginary realities that are just as important as the real world, if not more. Until the woman manages to find the words she had lost, giving back to both of them and to the audience what is left of their intimacy.

Diego Pleuteri was born in 1998 and lives between Milan and Turin. He studied both as an actor and as a playwright. He has attended workshops with, among others, Martin Crimp and Rafael Spregelburd. In May 2020, his text Mothers receives a mention at the Premio InediTO.
